Thursday October 18th:

Seattle Soars into San Francisco at 7 point underdogs with the over/under at 37-1/2. Seattle roared back from a deficit beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots late in the fourth quarter last week. Impressive was Seattle’s Richard Sherman as was quarterback Russell Wilson. San Francisco on the other hand seemed loss and evidently someone forgot to wake up the 49er offense and tell them they had a game that day. This is an important divisional game for both teams. I give the edge to San Francisco but not by 7 points. I like Seattle plus 7.

Sunday October 21st:

Arizona Cardinals fly into Minnesota at 6 point underdogs with the over/under set at 40. Boy just when we though Arizona was for real they lose 2 games in a row to mediocre teams while you have to say Minnesota was due for a let down game and last week could of been it. QB woes are hitting Arizona right now and I like Minnesota to rebound big this week. So take Minnesota and lay the 6 points.

Cleveland Browns come into Indianapolis as 3 point underdogs with the over/under at 45. Cleveland got there first win of the season and has been competitive pretty much all season long for this young team. I think Weeden has a very good future as the leader of this young Browns Squad for years to come if he stays healthy. The Colt’s on the other hand did not resemble the same team that came back and beat the Green Bay Packers the previous week with there defense allowing over 160 years in rushing to New York Jets Running Back Shonne Green and Company. And Andrew Luck threw for under 100 yeards. This is going to be a fun game to watch. I like what direction Cleveland is going but I think that blow out by the Jets against the COlts was a fluke game. So I am staying away from the line and going with the over 45 in this game.

Baltimore comes to Houston as 6-1/2 point underdogs with the over/under at 48-1/2. Lets keep this game really simple. The Ravens won last week when Dallas missed that field goal and took some serious damage to there Defense which Harbaugh said that now they are gonna have to ignite there offense again. Houston on the other hand was not the same team without there best defensive player and it showed against Green Bay. This game has all the makings of an all out aerial assault so I am again staying away from the line and am going to say take the over 48-1/2.

Green Bay goes to St. Louis as 5-1/2 point favorites with the over/under at 44-1/2. Green bay dismantled the once undefeated Texans in Houston last Sunday Night and in impressive form. St.Louis meanwhile set a record producing the most offensive yards in there team history however still losing in Miami by 4 points. What I don’t understand is why is the spread only 5-1/2 points? Green Bay should be at least double that spread. I like the high flying Packers to have another explosive offensive afternoon over the Rams so take Green Bay giving the points and also like the over 44-1/2.

Dallas flys into Carolina as 2-1/2 point favorites with the over/under at 45-1/2. The Cowboys lost a heartbreaker last week against a very good team in the Baltimore Ravens and nearly pulled out the upset in the end. Dallas is due for a stunning game. The Panthers are going through an identity crisis. If they don’t turn things around soon I am gonna recommend shock treatment and some prozac for Cam Newton. This game gets decided by a field goal. And whoever has the ball last wins this game. I don’t like games like this when both teams are going to start taking gambles on both sides of the ball at any moment. So I like the over 45-1/2 in this one.

New York Jets land in New England as 10-1/2 point underdogs with the over/under at 47. The Jets found there running game last week with Shonne Green having a break out game and when the Jets get there running game going it makes things a lot easier for QB Mark Sanchez to be productive. The Patriots lost yet another one that they had in control pretty much for three and a half quarters of the game. Got to believe Brady and Company are going to make a statement this week against the Jets and the Jets are gonna be in for a long day and war. Now we are going to see how tough there defense can be against this powerful New England Offense which has so many weapons it’s only a matter of time before Iran starts doing arms deals with them. This game will either be a blowout or a shootout. I like the shootout better. Take the over 47 points.

Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals as 2-1/2 point favorites with the over/under at 46. The Steelers got embarrased last week by losing to the Tennessee Titans on a Thursday Night. The Bengals however lost a divisional game against a young tough Cleveland team. The Steelers are getting banged up pretty bad on defense while the Bengals just have to start mixing the ingredients a little better. I thinks the Steelers problems continue on defense and look for the Bengals to win this one. Take Cincinnati plus the 2-1/2 points.

Monday Night October 22nd:

Monday Night brings us a divisional thriller with the Detroit Lions visiting the Chicago Bears as 6 point underdogs with the over/under at 47-1/2. Detroit coming off a win in Philadelphia while the Bears are coming off a bye week. I love the Chicago Bears in this one. There defense has been playing phenominal there last two games and there offense is firing on all cylinders. The Lions really didn’t impress me last week with there win. I like Chicago giving the 6 points.
